• Create ASPNETDB SQL database to hold membership, role and profile information for extranet users
• Need create access to your DB server from your WFE server
• Need to grant DB access to your IIS application pool
• Configure FBA Authentication Provider for the extranet.example.com site in SharePoint Central Admin Page
• Modify the web.config files for the Central Admin, FBA and NTLM extranet.example.com sites

• PeoplePickerWildcards
• Providers
• RoleManager
• Profile (if desired)
• Install ExCM Components to your SharePoint server
• Deploy and Activate ExCM (Delegation) Features to your FBA site
• Test add, update remove user
• Test delegated user, invitations
• Test self-service password operations
• Setup Forgot Password Link on Login Page(if desired)

 Considerations

• Names of FBA, NTLM sites
• SharePoint requires unique name/port combination
• The same name can be used for FBA/NTLM access by performing the following SharePoint/Networking tasks
• Configure two Web Applications (Extension) with different name or port (extranet.example.com [FBA], int.extranet.example.com [NTLM])
• Configure a networking rule that forwards all intranet requests to extranet.example.com -> int.extranet.example.com
• Modify the access mappings from int.extranet.example.com so all links are rewritten to extranet.example.com
• Access mappings should be configured and tested before we begin the ExCM installation process
• Site taxonomy
• Important for setting access control, delegation properties and SPA Provisioning Templates for extranet clients.
