Seamless Alert Management integration with SharePoint's Central Administration and Site Administration interfaces.

 
Alert Manager for SharePoint 2007, a best-of-breed solution, is designed to provide robust SharePoint alert management capabilities, including the ability to "push" alerts to multiple users.  It integrates seamlessly with SharePoint's Central Administration and Site Administration pages (both MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0) to provide the administrator with a familiar interface for managing SharePoint Alerts.

For large SharePoint installations with multiple site collections, the Centralized Alert Management feature enables the administrator to go to one location to manage all SharePoint alerts at the farm level.
 
On the Application Management page in Central Administration, a new Alert Management menu section is created when Alert Manager is installed. From this new menu, farm administrators can manage SharePoint Alerts and Alert templates.

 Centralized Alert Management - Site Settings

For every web in the site collection where Alert Manager 2007 is installed, a Manage Alerts link is added.  From this link, site administrators can manage SharePoint Alerts for all users and lists.

 Manage Custom Alert Templates and assign them to lists 

For every list in the site collection where Alert Manager 2007 is installed, a Manage Alert template for this list link is added.  This feature allows the list's owner to define a apply a custom Alert template complete with customized notification message.

  • Custom Alert Filters (New for 2007!)
    • Alert Manager 2007 provides the flexibility to build custom SharePoint alert templates that define who will receive the alert and what type of change will trigger the alert.  It also includes the ability to filter alerts based on specific criteria and to define when to send the alert (immediately, daily summary, weekly summary). 
  • Dynamic Recipients (New for 2007!)
    • The Dynamic Recipients feature is used to send SharePoint alerts to a user identified in a list column.
  • Bulk-User Alert Sign-up
    • The Bulk-User Alert Sign-up feature enables the administrator to add, change and delete SharePoint alerts for one or more users on any list, document library or document in a site.  Users can be located by login, preferred name or e-mail address, or by using wildcards, pattern matching or partial words.  This allows the administrator to efficiently handle sites with large numbers of lists and users.
  • Custom Alert Templates (New for 2007!)
    • Custom SharePoint Alert templates give the administrator complete control over the look and content of the alert notification message.
