 I have installed the trial version and didnt get an errors, however when I click on both:

I get the following error .

  Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?

When debugging a SharePoint issue it is usually helpful to turn off SharePoint's friendly error message feature...

I'm guessing your probably have a Forms-Based-Authentication configuration issue or licensing issue.

 I can now create users, after creating them how do I give them access to the site, I am tryng to login but it does not let me. No errors message, Login window appears but when I senter the login data it just re-pops up and eventually it says not authorized to access site.

let me correct that, I am now getting a new sign in option, I think its the one from your software. Its not a windows pop up but a page in sharepoint where it asks for username and password and gives the check box to sign in automatically. But when I try and login with the user I created nothing happens, just refreshes the page and I can only try and log in again.

If you can successfully add users then everything is likely setup correctly. Typically, you should get an error message on the login page (provided by SharePoint). If you don't get an error message after logging in it is typically caused by one of two issues.

1. On some occasions when configuring FBA your IE browser can get confused during the configuration process. In most cases closing all IE browser windows, opening a new IE instance will correct your issue.
2. SharePoint will redirect the user back to location defined in the SRC attribute of your query string. Make sure this page isn't pointing back to your login page. Removing the entire URL should correct this issue.

If this doesn't correct your issue please send a screen shot of the /_layouts/SPSolutions/Delegation/DelegationStatus.aspx page to softwaresupport@sharepointsolutions.com.
