Re: Erorr during instal of SPA

The SPA product is license protected. You are experiencing a licensing error message which can occur if one of the following conditions are true…

    1. You have not installed a SPA trial or production license.
    2. The trial license you installed is expired or corrupt.
    3. You are running a 64-bit machine.

How do I install my SPA trial or production license

    1. Begin by procuring the ZIP file containing the license MSI installation program.
      1. Trial License - http://software.sharepointsolutions.com/downloads/
      2. Production License – http://shop.sharepointsolutions.com
    2. Extract the MSI file from the ZIP container to a directory on each SharePoint Web-Front-End server
    3. Double-click the MSI to begin the installation
    4. When the MSI completes, perform an IISRESET to reset the license cache

Note – The SPA trial license is packaged into the Extranet Collaboration Manager (ExCM) Enterprise Edition trial license installation.

How can I install a SPA license on a 64-bit machine

When you run the installer on a 64-bit machine it places them in license files in the the Program Files(86) directory.

    C:\Program Files(86)\Common Files\XHEO\SharedLicenses\

The SPA application expects the license files to be in the native Program Files directory.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\XHEO\SharedLicenses\

To perform a manual license installation you will need to copy the license files from the SharedLicenses directory under the Program Files (86) path into the SharedLicenses directory under the Program Files path. Once the license files have been moved you will need to perform an IISRESET to update the license cache.

Our development staff is working to deliver a 64-bit installation. In the mean time I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

How can I validate the installation of my license files

The SPA application looks for license files in the following directory…

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\XHEO\SharedLicenses\

Make sure this directory contains a file named ProvisioningFull.lic (Production) or ProvisioningFixedTrial.lic (Trial). If you have successfully installed the license MSI and the license files to no exist, please read the How can I install a SPA license on a 64-bit machine.
